So, this may or may not be explained in the video (hint: it is) but earlier today I was sitting on my sofa trying to figure out what I should do for a blog entry today. I wanted to do something new, maybe trying to think of a “theme” for Monday’s (since I do love Comic Book Wednesday as a theme) but I couldn’t come up with anything. Then I picked up my controller and I thought to myself “Lexy is going to play some Injustice 2”. Then I giggled. “Lexy Play,” I said to myself again. And an idea was born.
So, I’ve been saying I need to do YouTube videos, right? I really do want to. I don’t think I’ll ever get a “following” on YouTube, but I have a genuine fear of public speaking and I NEED to practice speaking more in general, so I figured what the hell. Lexy can play a game, and narrate it at the same time. She can give her thoughts on the game, on the characters, and just generally have some fun. So, that’s what I did. And since I spent half the weekend playing Injustice 2 with my friend, I figured what better place to start than play Injustice 2 on MY console, level MY characters (instead of his, lol) and at the same time put together a video.
A quick warning: while I am a gamer, and there’s a whole host of genres and games I love, I’m not necessarily a GOOD gamer. So if you’re hoping to tune in every week for some of the finest gameplay that’s ever been seen on YouTube… well, you’re shit outta luck. But, if you fancy watching a few fun videos, listening to me talk about stuff, and seeing how badly I can win or lose… then feel free to join me in this fun adventure that I’m dubbing “Lexy Plays”.
My debut video, Lexy Plays: Injustice 2, was still uploading as of posting, but it should be available at some point. Just click the video below, and don’t forget to give me a like (or even a subscribe) if you have fun. I’ll appreciate it, and I’m sure I can return the love at some stage.
So, without further ado…
Thanks for reading, and hopefully for watching too. If you want, I’m available on Facebook (facebook.com/ajebdon) and on Twitter (@alexisebdon) and you can suggest other games, suggest themes for future videos, or just tell me how much I suck.
